PAC LA: Women Collectors Panel at Galerie XII

In honor of the powerful women who helped to shape PAC LA's first decade, we are launching , a series of flagship public educational events throughout the year celebrating notable women in fine art photography.

PAC LA is pleased to invite the public to our first Year of the Woman event, WOMEN COLLECTORS. This free, in-person event will be held at Galerie XII at the Bergamont Arts Center in Santa Monica on Saturday, April 19 at 11:00 AM.

WOMEN COLLECTORS will feature a discussion with three women with different approaches to collecting and at different stages of their collecting journeys. Hosted by the esteemed Photography dealer, , we will welcome collectors Paula Ely, Alison Bryan Crowell and Sarah Kissell. Attendees will learn why these women chose photography as their medium, how they approach their collecting, their roles as custodians of the art and more.

This interactive discussion will welcome audience questions as we explore what it means to be a collector.
