The OZ Mile Swim is for ALL swimmers! Elite, experienced, novice, beginner - ALL! We have an ELITE wave, a YOUTH wave, an AGE GROUP wave, a PARA wave, and the OZ wave (wetsuits or safety buoys or even fins). Swimmers will have the option to complete 1 wave or multiple waves if they would like to increase their mileage.
This event will be a FESTIVAL ATMOSPHERE unlike any other Open Water Race in the region - maybe the USA! There is something for everyone!
We kick the festival off with our Charity Swim, Presented by Highlands Oncology Group, the HOG Swim on Saturday morning! We are raising funds for 3 charities: Swim Across America, Rampy MS Research Foundation, and The Joys Of Swimming. You can pick one, two, or all three as they are ALL amazing organizations! You can swim 1, 2, 3, or 4 miles, you can even participate in a relay style to get your multiple miles in. The Charity Swim is also the middle and long distance options for the South-Central Zone Grand Prix Swim Series.
There is a discount provided at checkout when you register for both the Saturday and Sunday events.
Our Expo will be at race site on Saturday afternoon. A meet and greet with all our swimmers, and elites, lecture and Q & A with international acclaimed swimmers. As well as local and national vendors. The Expo is free to attend, with adult beverages provided by Pabst Blue Ribbon, live entertainment, and a stunning location!
This swim is set in the heart of the Ozarks, which offer fun adventures for the entire family! The festival like atmosphere is spectacular! Make sure to register for the HOG Charity Swim on Saturday to stretch out from your travels so you are ready to go for race day on Sunday. We will have awards for the top 3 finishes in age groups for male and female, and Youth Team and Adult Masters Team awards (see details on website).
