Oysters are more than just food; they help protect the Texas coast!
In this program, we'll go over oyster anatomy and the role they play in the marine ecosystem including touch tanks to observe live specimens.
Where: Fishing pier parking lot
Bring: Sun protection and hydration
Accessibility: Accessible parking available at the fishing pier parking lot. This program takes place on a flat surface and near a restroom. For accessibility questions, email [email protected]
FYI:
- Children must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the program.
- Program is free with park entrance ($5/person, children 12 & under are free) or Texas State Parks Annual Pass.
- Groups larger than eight please contact Sara Rock for a private event.
- Program may be cancelled if no participants are present within 10 minutes of the start time, or in the case of inclement weather.
