Oxon Run Community Walk & Garden Tour
About this Event
The Washington Area Bicyclist Association is partnering with Earthseed DC, a local urban farming group, for a walk through Oxon Run Park.
We will start at the intersection of Mississippi Ave and 13th street SE and walk approximately 1 mile (25 minutes) to The Well community garden.
We'll use the time on the walk as an opportunity to connect with folks in the neighborhood, learn about urban farming opportunities, and chat about how the park can be best used by community members.
The walk will end at The Well community gardens where we'll have a tour of the garden and learn about yoga classes, free produce, and volunteering opportunities. The Well will also be hosting a neighborhood wellness event with local vendors and community partners.
This event is free to the public. Families and young people are encouraged to join!
