CTC Urban Garden Open House with Bloom and Riversmart Homes
About this Event
Kick off DC Plant Week with a visit to our new urban farm location at 2806 Channing St NE on August 23rd between 12 - 2 pm to check out what we've been growing this year! You'll get a tour of our raised beds, fruits, houseplants and vertical gardens.
DC Water's Bloom will be on site distributing free soil amendment, cool weather seedlings and you can also learn about our greenhouse co-op at Blue Plains Water Treatment Facility. Please bring a container with you to take home your soil amendment.
DOEE's Riversmart Homes program will also be on site doing a rain barrel installation and giving out information on how DC residents can take advantage of the Riversmart Homes program to help mitigate stormwater runoff from polluting our local waterways.
Light snacks and drinks will be available and plants will also be available for purchase.
Different time windows for tickets are just for our tracking purposes and to prevent a big crowd at once. If you can't make your exact time window, you can come a different time between 12-2. Thank you and hope to see you there!
