Oxford's 4th of July—Glad to be Elsewhere Global Celebration
About this Event
Oxford, let’s do the 4th of July differently.
Glad to Be Elsewhere is an open-air community party at Manzil Way Gardens on Cowley Road, bringing together Americans abroad, international friends, globally minded locals, and anyone who enjoys food, music, drinks, games, and meeting people in real life.
It is a playful 4th of July celebration — not anti-anything, just pro-community, pro-culture, pro-food, and pro-connection.
Expect American-style BBQ, a mobile bar, red white and-blue cocktails, local musicians, games, and relaxed summer energy in the heart of East Oxford.
Come solo, bring friends, bring a date, bring your dog, or just wander over and see who you meet. This is for everyone, whether you're single, in a couple, newcomers, longtime locals, international students, Americans like Mitch, Brits with a sense of humour, and anyone who wants a fun Saturday outside.
1gbp entry fee, or pay 5gbp to get your first drink free! All welcome.
Please book a ticket so we can plan the space, food, bar, and entertainment properly.
