Brown Boots Boogie Band is the punchy and energetic band led by Will Allen on melodeon and Martin Clarke on fiddle, and augmented by Will Chamberlain on piano and Paul Quarry on percussion. Their musical background is rooted in playing music for dancing, as well as gaining inspiration from playing with their many talented musical friends at festivals and pub sessions across the country. This band has the energy of a late night session and with an unstoppable groove. Last time they were with us they sold out the opening ceilidh at Oxford Folk Festival in 2024 and we're so pleased to have them back. The fabulous Annie Bolt joins the band to call the dances. She is known for working with the Monster Ceilidh Band and appearing at major festivals and all the best parties. Annie uses non-gendered calls.
Interval entertainment comes from the fabulous winners of this year's Sidmouth Jig Competion - dancer Emma Laister and musician Mark Rogers.
Doors 7.30pm, dancing from 8 until 11pm.
There is a licensed bar with ale, cider, wine and soft drinks.
