Own Your Safety: A Beginner Firearm Experience for Women

Curious about firearms but not sure where to start?

Own Your Safety is a beginner-friendly firearm education and range experience designed specifically for women with little or no previous shooting experience.

This two-hour event will combine one hour of classroom instruction with one hour of supervised range time, giving you the opportunity to learn foundational firearm safety, understand basic terminology, become familiar with range procedures, and experience shooting in a structured environment.

No prior firearm experience is required.

What You’ll Learn

Participants will be introduced to:

• Fundamental firearm safety principles
• Basic firearm terminology and range etiquette
• Responsible ownership and secure storage
• What to expect during a first range experience
• Next steps for continued firearm education and training

This is a judgment-free beginner environment. You do not need to already feel comfortable around firearms, and you do not need to be considering firearm ownership to attend.

The goal is simple: learn, experience, and make informed decisions about your own safety.

Important Information

• Space is intentionally limited to allow for a safer, more supportive beginner experience.
• Attendees must be 21 and older.

• Participants must follow all requirements established by the hosting firearm range, including identification, safety equipment, waivers, dress requirements, and range rules.
