ENGLISH VERSION
5𝑹𝒉𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒎𝒔 𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒎𝒆𝒏 - "𝑶𝒘𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑫𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆"
The title refers to "coming home to yourself" in the sense of knowing your own vibration/rhythm from a bodily position.
It’s no secret that dance spaces often have a preponderance of women and that many men often associate dance with an opportunity to get close to women. The opposite is also the case 😊.
The workshop aims to create a space where there are as few as possible disturbances from the opposite sex 😊….It is a woman-free zone where connection and inspiration between men are created.
"𝑻𝒐 𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒅𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆"
Owning your dance isn’t a classic "masculine" performance, but about be connected and present. It is about leaning into your movement and finding the balance in both giving and taking space - being attuned - so that the body isn’t used mechanically, but organically and connected, and in a naturally way take your own space.
When we are connected to our dance, we aren’t “on our way” (there is no direction), and even an intensive dance can be unfold with less power, because we are attuned to ourselves and our own inner rhythm.
Our dance is shaped by certain movement patterns. Everyone has a unique “fingerprint” in their movement/dance. It is a bodily way of being in the world.
From the place of movement, there are unimaginable opportunities to explore and expand one’s territory. Find freedom in new forms of movement and be inspired by other men. New movement creates new thoughts and new ways of being in the world - and more space for yourself.
𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒊𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝒓𝒉𝒚𝒕𝒉𝒎
We are as people, shaped by our origin. The relationships and contexts we have been a part of. Our mother may have been more of a father than our father was, that’s how complex it can be, but we all have “figures” that we refer to as men/people. When writing figures, it's in the meaning of bodily forms that have carried the existence of our father figures and that we have either taken on, rebelled against or found cohesion with.
The workshop aims to become more familiar with your origin (and thus your own inner rhythm) from a bodily place. What do we come from? What "figures" (read: bodily forms) carried the existence of our father and grandfather?
And find clarity in how physical forms can dictate our mental space.

The workshop is an invitation to a space where a virtue is made out of creating space for diversity. We are human before we are a gender. Roughly and simply put, the invitation lies somewhere in between Carl-Mar and the “we-are-going-to-talk-about-feelings” position 😊.
And it is a workshop and dance for men, of all ages, and it requires no prerequisites. Everyone can dance! ….but bring your emotions and also a little of your inner Carl-Mar 😊.

I have a ❤️ that beats for dance. Dance has followed me since I started, as a 3-year-old, at Ulla Poulsen's dance school in Ringsted .
My interest in body and movement started with my yoga and meditation practice when I was in my early twenties.
I became a yoga teacher in 2005 and have practiced 5Rhythms dance since 2007. I have taught improvised dance in my own concept - Nuets Dans - since 2015 and have since become a 5Rhythms teacher.
I'm also a psychologist with my own practice. I have worked clinically, i.a. with therapy and supervision, since 2005.
In recent years, I have been very busy developing methods where the body and movement are actively used in therapy.
Over the past 12 years I have organized many different camps and retreats. My ❤️ also beats for what we can create together.
My own training and teaching can be summarized as a training in; "being with what there is", regardless of whether it is in dance, therapy, meditation, yoga or another form of practice. This is what I strive for in my own life and try to pass on. I have a son who is 18 years old, and isn't that interested in 5Rhythms dance, but I love him anyway :) ❤️
