Owlthorpe Fields Plant Walk With Gerry Firkins

Come and join us for a delightful plant walk on Owlthorpe Fields with the knowledgeable Gerry Firkins. Gerry is a local botanist who has led field meetings and taught plant identification for Sheffield University, WEA and the RSPB since the 1980s and is now a tutor for the Botanical Society of the British Isles.
Come and explore the beautiful flora and learn about the various plants that call this area home. This in-person event is a fantastic opportunity to connect with nature and expand your botanical knowledge. Don't miss out on this unique experince.
The walk will be an easy stroll to look at some of the plants of Owlthorpe Fields and how they fit into the ecology of the area. The walk will include the local wildlife sites (designated for grassland habitat), the Ancient Woodlands and the newly created pond / wetland area if time permits!
