Overtone Singing with Spectral Voices

Do you like to sing? Enjoy a free demo of overtone singing by Jim Cole and Spectral Voices on Thursday, June 18th at 6:30pm. Spectral Voices has been cultivating the rare art of harmonic overtone singing (also known as throat singing) since 1991.
First, guests will watch as Spectral Voices introduces a singing style with vowels that we use every day while speaking, showing how anyone can begin to hear multiple tones in their own voice. Then, guests will join in as they feel comfortable, practicing together as a group. The end result will be all voices joined together in a group harmonic overtone improvisation, directly experiencing the joy, relaxation and calming benefits amid the fine acoustics and artwork of Windsor Art Center. Other styles of overtone singing will be also shown and blended in.
Walk-ins are welcome, but please RSVP to [email protected] so we can get an estimate of the number of participants. Demo will begin promptly at 6:30.
