About this Event
You’re capable. You’re qualified. And yet—there’s that voice.
The negative mental chatter is killing your vibe, boo.
These are the sentences people actually say (out loud or silently) when imposter syndrome is running the room:
- “I don’t know enough yet.”
- “I just got lucky.”
- “They’re going to realize I’m not as good as they think.”
- “I need one more certification before I put myself out there.”
- “Everyone else seems so much more confident than me.”
- “I don’t want to overstep.”
- “Who am I to be teaching this?”
- “I’m probably not explaining this well.”
- “I’ll wait until I feel more ready.”
- “They’ll think I’m ridiculous if I say that.”
- “I don’t want to take up too much space.”
- “I should already have this figured out by now.”
- “What if I can’t answer their questions?”
- “Someone else could do this better.”
- “I don’t want to look arrogant.”
- “I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.”
- “I’ll say something once I’m more established.”
- “I’m not sure I’m allowed to do it this way.”
- “Any minute now, they’ll see through me.”
If you've been running any of this dialogue, this workshop is for you.
With compassion, boldness, truth, and some loving laughter, this workshop will help you kick the Imposter Syndrome habit that has been holding you back. We'll take a look at what's really going on beneath the negative self talk, why it's really happening, what it's actually trying to do, and how to make it work for you.
Here are a few real life scenarios where imposter syndrome takes the wheel. Do you fall into any of these?
The First-Time Facilitator
A yoga teacher is leading her first workshop that isn’t a class she memorized from a training manual. The room is full. People are taking notes. Halfway through, she panics: “They’re expecting me to have all the answers—and I don’t.”
She over-explains, rushes, and second-guesses every word instead of trusting her lived experience.
The Newly Promoted Leader
A longtime team member is promoted into management and now supervises former peers. On paper, he earned the role. Internally, he’s thinking, “Any day now, someone will notice I’m just figuring this out as I go.”
He avoids making decisive calls and overworks to prove he belongs.
The Creative Who Finally Gets Seen
An artist’s work is featured publicly for the first time—gallery, publication, or viral attention. Instead of celebration, her nervous system floods with dread: “What if this was a fluke? What if I can’t do it again?”
She minimizes the achievement and quietly braces for the fall.
The Career-Switcher
A former corporate professional moves into coaching, healing work, or education. Even with years of transferable skills, she feels fraudulent charging money for work that feels meaningful.
The thought loop: “Other people have been doing this longer. I’m late. I shouldn’t be here yet.”
The High-Achieving Student or Academic
A student from a nontraditional background enters an elite program or institution. Everyone else seems fluent in the language, culture, and confidence of the space.
He concludes, “They belong here. I slipped through the cracks.”
So he stays quiet, even when he has something valuable to say.

The Evolve Academy of Conscious Learning is located inside The Schoolhouse, located at 720 Magnolia Road, Suite 21, Charleston, SC 29407.
Be sure to park on the Magnolia Road side of The Schoolhouse building and go through the double doors that have the word "Events" next to them. You will then go left to find Evolve Academy in Suite 21.
As our school is a center for personal and professional development for adults, many of our classes take place in the evening or on the weekends.
If for some reason you arrive late and find the exterior doors locked, just knock gently on the window to the left of these doors - this is the Evolve classroom window. You can, of course, avoid this issue by arriving a few minutes early. :)
Evolve is a serene, cozy space that is friendly for those who are sensitive to busy spaces. We purposely have calm lighting, soft rugs and cushions, hot herbal tea, and neutral tones to assist you in feeling safe and cared for.
