Reverend Gloria E. White-Hammond, M.D., is the Co-Pastor of Bethel AME Church in Boston and the Swartz Resident Practitioner in Ministry Studies at Harvard Divinity School. A former pediatrician and social justice advocate, she has made a significant impact through her work with My Sister's Keeper, focusing on women and girls in conflict zones, and through ministries like Shatter the Silence, which addresses sexual victimization, and Planning Ahead, which encourages end-of-life care conversations. Dr. White-Hammond also co-directs a course at Harvard on spirituality and healing in medicine. She is a trustee emeritus of Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Tufts University and serves on several boards, including the Roxbury Presbyterian Church Social Impact Center. Her dedication to justice, equity, and compassion has made her a respected leader and visionary in her community.

Reverend Dr. Ray Hammond is a visionary leader and co-founder of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Boston. With degrees from Harvard College, Harvard Medical School, and Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, his passion for service and social justice stems from his upbringing in Philadelphia. He co-founded the Ten Point Coalition and has been an influential leader in various organizations, including the Black Ministerial Alliance, Boston Opportunity Agenda, and the Boston Green Ribbon Commission. Rev. Hammond serves on multiple boards, including the Yawkey Foundation and the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation, and has received numerous honors for his contributions to social justice. His compassionate leadership continues to inspire and make a lasting impact on his community.
