Over the Edge Upstate is a one-of-a-kind fundraising event that gives participants the opportunity to rappel 192 feet down the side of the Denny’s building—all while raising critical funds for the Cancer Association.
Since its launch in 2018, this signature event has raised an incredible $709,690 to support local individuals and families facing cancer.
Participants earn their place “on the ropes” through fundraising. The first 92 individuals who raise a minimum of $1,000 secure their spot to rappel, making each descent both an unforgettable experience and a meaningful contribution to our mission.
In 2026, our goal is to raise $100,000 to continue providing essential support services to those in our community who are navigating a cancer diagnosis.
In addition to individual participants, the success of Over the Edge Upstate depends on the generous support of sponsors who help bring this event to life and expand its impact in our community.
2026 marks the final year of Over the Edge Upstate, making this a unique and meaningful opportunity to be part of the event’s legacy. This last descent represents not only an exciting experience, but also a chance to make a lasting difference for those we serve.
