OUTside Voices, Kansas City's 4-voice part, LGBTQ+ chorus presents
Sincerely Yours, Pauli Murray.
*Pre-show panel discussion starting at 6:00 pm*
Commissioned by composer-legend, Steve Milloy. This performance celebrates the amazing life of Pauli Murray. Pauli was an activist, poet, lawyer, scholar and Episcopal priest. Their work on racial inequality served the basis for the legal argument for Brown vs Board of Education.
Pauli was the first black woman priest in episcopal church and spent much of their life trying to understand their own gender identity.
We're exited to perform this work to uplift and elevate gender identity, women’s rights, racial discrimination, and LGBTQIA+ equality - all important issues in our March towards a more "just" society.
Sincerely Yours, Pauli Murray.
