Sarah will be providing tips on how to minimize your impact in the outdoors and sharing the seven principles of Leave No Trace ethics. Understanding and applying these principles will help participants protect natural areas for future generations.
7:30 Pm Presentation: What’s New at ADK by Cortney Koenig Worrall
Cortney is the new Executive Director of the Adirondack Mountain Club. She will join us to talk about what is on deck for ADK in the year ahead. Cortney will introduce herself, share her experience with ADK and what she sees as the path for ADK in the coming year. She will be ready to answer your questions and is looking forward to learning more about our chapter.
Cortney is a seasoned nonprofit leader with robust experience in conservation, development, fundraising, and organizational operations. Throughout her career, she has held various leadership roles at organizations including the National Parks Conservation Association, and most recently, she served as President and CEO of the Waterfront Alliance. She brings a deep connection to public lands and is committed to ADK’s mission. Her educational background includes a master’s degree in public administration from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in environmental policy from Mount Holyoke College.
