Volunteer numbers for this project are based on adults and children ages 11 and older. Younger children are encouraged to attend with their parents but registration is NOT needed for any child 10 and under.What sort of work will I be doing?

LANDSCAPING: W**d and mulch beds around Outreach buildings. Plant flowers in pots. Prepare 25’ x 15’ bed for prayer garden and mulch. Assemble and install benches for prayer gardens.

HARDSCAPING: 3 x 5 pads for benches including crushed stone base, edge restraints and step stones will be installed by others.

VOLUNTEERS SHOULD BRING (If you are able):

· WATER to drink

· Wheelbarrows (4 needed)

· Rakes (6 needed)

· Shovels / Pitchforks (5 needed)

· Garden spades or sod cutter (4 needed)

· Trowels

· Shears

· Provide tools for assembling benches

· Work gloves/garden gloves

· OPTIONAL: Hat, Sunscreen, and Bug Spray

El número de voluntarios para este proyecto se basa en adultos y niños mayores de 11 años. Se anima a los niños más pequeños a que asistan con sus padres, pero el registro NO ES NECESARIO para cualquier niño menores de 10 años.

¿Que tipo de trabajo estaré realizando?

JARDINERÍA: Desmalezar y colocar mantillo en los lechos alrededor de los edificios de Outreach. Plantar flores en macetas. Preparar un lecho de 25’ x 15’ para el jardín de oración y cubrir con mantillo. Ensamblar e instalar bancos para los jardines de oración.

PIEDRA DE JARDÍN: Las bases para los bancos (de 3 x 5 pies), que incluyen una base de piedra triturada, bordes de contención y piedras tipo escalón, serán instaladas por otras personas.

LOS VOLUNTARIOS DEBEN TRAER (¡Si los tienen!) :

• AGUA para beber

• Guantes para jardinería

• Carretillas (4)

• Rastrillos (6)

• Palas

• Horquillas

• Palas de jardinería

• Tijeras de podar
