Outreach Collaborative Coalition Meeting

San Bernardino County Office of Homeless Services (OHS) is pleased to invite you to participate in our first Outreach Collaborative Coalition meeting.

OHS is excited to create a space that brings together County and City outreach teams to foster collaboration, strengthen partnerships, and enhance service coordination. This meeting is designed to provide a meaningful opportunity for each department and agency to share information about their roles, services, and resources, while identifying ways to better support one another in the field.

The intent is to invite outreach teams from various County and City departments to participate in a monthly standing meeting focused on:

• Establishing and aligning best practices for field outreach
• Strengthening interdepartmental communication and coordination
• Improving safety protocols and situational awareness
• Standardizing engagement approaches where appropriate
• Sharing lessons learned, emerging trends, and resource updates
• Reducing duplication of services and enhancing continuity of care

By formalizing a collaborative structure, we can create a more unified and strategic County/City outreach system. This will:

• Improve efficiency and resource utilization
• Enhance service coordination for unsheltered residents
• Promote consistent Housing First-aligned practices
• Increase staff safety through shared protocols
• Strengthen our collective impact and housing placement outcomes

The goal of OHS is to establish a strong foundation for ongoing collaboration, where both County and City partners will continue to participate in and support future coalition meetings as we work together to serve individuals experiencing homelessness throughout the year.
