🤠🏴☠️ This month's Full Moon Paddle theme is Outlaws on the Open Water!
Our favorite moonlit paddle experience returns under the Buck Moon, where cowboys, pirates, and renegades take over the lake with western grit and swashbuckling style. Expect glowing boards, themed treats, and a magical evening on the water.
📍 EVENT INFO:
Throw on your favorite cowboy boots, pirate hats, bandanas, eye patches, or your best outlaw-inspired attire because costumes are highly encouraged. When you arrive, you'll choose your side, Pirates or Cowboys, and prepare for our epic Pirates vs. Cowboys Tug-of-War showdown! Expect glowing paddleboards, pirate & western-themed décor, themed treats & refreshments, live music, and a lakeside atmosphere worthy of the Wild West and the high seas.
This adventure filled celebration takes place from 7:00 PM–9:30 PM.
The evening begins with a Social Hour from 7:00 PM–8:00 PM, featuring themed food & drinks, live music, lawn games, community activities, sponsor giveaways, and plenty of time to mingle before hitting the water. Choose your side, show off your costume, and rally your crew for the Pirates vs. Cowboys Tug-of-War battle to see which team comes out on top before we launch onto the lake!
From 8:00 PM–9:30 PM, we'll launch for a moonlit paddle beneath the Buck Moon. Enjoy glowing boards, calm waters, and one of the most magical nights of the summer as you paddle at your own pace under the moonlight.
Please note that paddling will conclude promptly at 9:30 PM. The park gate closes at 10:00 PM, and all participants must exit the park by that time.
🚣 RENTALS:
All paddlesport rentals start at $60. We offer paddleboards, single & double kayaks, canoes, and even our giant party paddleboard that fits up to 9 paddlers (because every outlaw crew deserves to ride together.)

PLEASE NOTE: All personal watercraft launched at Boulder Reservoir require a valid City of Boulder Small Craft Permit. If you do not already have a permit, you'll need to rent a board directly through Rocky Mountain Paddleboard for the event.
Guests with a valid permit may participate for a $35 event fee, which includes access to the full outlaw experience:

Please remember to bring:
• A lifejacket (required)
• A white light for the front of your board (required)
• Water, towel, bug spray, and any personal gear you may need
🐶 Dogs are unfortunately not allowed from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
