This event, featuring two challenging distances, offers runners the chance to explore the beautiful trails and breathtaking views surrounding Folsom Lake.
Whether you're pushing your limits in the 50-mile race or tackling the classic 50K distance, the Outlands delivers a rewarding test of endurance in a stunning natural setting. Join us for this exciting new chapter in trail running, designed for adventurers ready to embrace the wild.
In 2025, the 50K race at Peninsula Campground has been spun off into its own event, the Outlands 50K & 50M, taking place on April 12th. The Placer Trail Running Festival will still return on May 17th at Granite Beach in Granite Bay, CA, featuring the 25K, 10K, 5K, and 5K Canicross races, but no longer includes the 50K distance. These updates allow each event to offer a more tailored and exciting experience for runners.
