Outdoor Play Week at Birkenhead Playcentre

Have a baby, toddler or preschooler? Come and visit Birkenhead Playcentre during Playcentre Outdoor Play Week, 2-6 November 2026.
Session times run from 9:15am - 11:45am every day and sessions run at our centre Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, with Thursday's session being held at a local beach or park.
Playcentre is early learning with a difference. Parents and caregivers stay and play alongside their tamariki, while children explore everything from messy and outdoor play to art, music, water, building and imaginative play.
It’s also a lovely way to meet other local families and become part of a welcoming, supportive community. Whether you’re new to the area, looking for more social connection or simply curious about Playcentre, you’re welcome to come along and experience it for yourself.
Families can enjoy three free visits, with no pressure to enrol.
To book a visit during our open week, complete the form on our Birkenhead Playcentre webpage:
