A half-term adventure at Earth Trust, where 7–13 year-olds can explore nature, learn bushcraft skills & enjoy outdoor fun with new friends.
About this Event

This October half term, let your child explore a world of adventure at the Outdoor Explorer Camp!

Set amongst the meadows, woodlands and historic hilltops of Wittenham Clumps, our daytime camp is designed to give children aged 7–13 a chance to connect with nature, try new skills, and enjoy unforgettable outdoor experiences.

With expert instructors to guide them, across the three sessions children will have the chance to:
🌲 Build dens, light campfires and cook over the flames
🧭 Discover orienteering and bushcraft skills, while exploring the forest and hillsides
🔥 Enjoy the fireside stoves in our brand-new tepees, while learning about knots or natural history
🪵 Try hands-on crafts like wattle and daub wall building or carving wooden toadstools
🤝 Make new friends through teamwork and adventure

Each day offers varied activities, so whether you book a single day or the full three-day experience, there will always be something new to discover.

Food & Lunch

Children should bring their own packed lunch, but we’ll be adding exciting extras cooked together outdoors — perhaps a Viking soup bubbling over the fire or handmade flatbreads toasted on the flames!

Why Outdoor Explorer Camp?

It has never been more critical to give children access to green spaces – not only for their wellbeing, but also to help them try new skills, build confidence, and have fun while learning about the natural world.

What better way than spending time in our brand-new tepees, set amongst the varied landscape of Wittenham Clumps – a site of adventure since the Stone Age.

✔️ A safe, guided environment with skilled instructors
✔️ The chance to learn real outdoor skills
✔️ Fresh air, fun, and freedom in nature
✔️ Perfect for both first-time adventurers and seasoned explorers
