About this Event
Out The Trap Day at the Capitol is a groundbreaking civic engagement event focused on amplifying the voices of urban and marginalized communities that have been impacted by poverty, mass incarceration, and systemic inequality. On March 20, 2025, we are turning the Georgia State Capitol into a space for advocacy, education, and celebration, uplifting those who have made it “Out the Trap” while fighting for policies that ensure economic mobility, justice, and opportunity for all.
A key highlight of the event will be a “Smoke Out” at Liberty Plaza—a peaceful demonstration of smoking legal products such as hookah, cigar, cigarettes, and etc in support of:
Criminal Justice Reform
Accessible Healthcare
Legalization of Medical Cannabis
Affordable Housing & Economic Justice
Fully Funded Education & Workforce Development
