Through a generous grant from the Arts Council of Greater Greensboro, TAG is hosting several workshops and performances related to our summer exhibit, “Out of the Box”.
Join Josephus III, Greensboro’s first honorary poet laureate, in a poetry/spoken word workshop. He will lead students in writing prompts that will truly allow them to create outside the box. This literal and visual experience will culminate in a final project that will frame words in a way that is sure to amaze and inspire.
The class is limited to 20 participants and is open to high school and rising high school students. Snacks and water will be provided.
Performances and completed poems will be filmed for documentation purposes and displayed during our closing reception on August 29. Participants may opt out of being photographed.
INSTRUCTOR: Josephus III
COST: $5 per participant
Scholarships are available. Email [email protected] if interested. (We’ll complete registration for you)
