Out & About Highlands: practitioner learning sessions

The LEAP Sports Out & About Highlands project presents practitioner sessions for those who work in sport, physical activity, outdoor activity, leisure and recreation.

The morning session is an LGBTIQ+ people in sport and physical activity workshop, whilst the afternoon is a practice and information sharing and networking session. You are welcome to attend one or both sessions, you will be asked to choose on the sign-up form.

We will welcome folks at the venue for tea and coffee from 0930

1000-1200 LGBTIQ+ people in sport workshop

This is an awareness raising training workshop aimed at increasing knowledge and understanding of how to improve the access, participation and engagement of LGBTIQ+ people in physical activity and sport; empowering practitioners to feel more confident in working with LGBTIQ+ people; and sharing tools and resources to support practitioners in their work.

1300-1430 Equality and diversity networking session

A one hour session where we will share information about the Out & About in the Highlands project including the ongoing support that is available, and where you can share as well as hear from others about what work is going on across the area to improve participation and engagement of LGBTIQ+ people.

Please note that this is a free event. We will provide tea and coffee, but not lunch. If you are coming for both sessions, you may want to bring this with you.
