Our Zebra Troy are an eclectic alternative-rock outfit from Naarm/Melbourne, Australia. With an ethos of leaving no stone unturned, the 5-piece draws upon their diverse palate of influences, creating songs that defy expectations through a playful exploration of soundscapes and storylines. Their sound ultimately manifests as a distinct interplay of heavy riffs, charming chordal sequences, and powerful, melody driven vocals.
Founded by multi-instrumentalist John Langworthy and drummer Mark Tanian, Our Zebra Troy serves as a vessel to explore their unique rhythmic stylings and unconventional songwriting approach.
Our Zebra Troy are returning to The Tote Upstairs this March to launch their single “Something Cerebral”, which showcases their singular ability to combine tight grooves and delicate melodies into a cohesive alt-rock whole.
Support on the night will provided by psychedelia tinged folk-rock group Kelsey Jean & The Bad Health, and the ethereal slow core sounds of Pat Frances and his band.
