Retired forester but still a treehugger, Debora Soutar leads strolls around Chilliwack neighbourhoods to share highlights of our urban forest, including Heritage Trees, and unusual specimens.
Wednesday, June 24, 7pm - Get to know the giants of Little Mountain and learn some of the history of this forest in the city. Meet at the end of Swallow Place.
Wednesday, July 22, 7pm - Sardis Park is so much more than a pond & playground. Meet at Sardis Park parking lot on School St.
Wednesday, August 26, 7pm - Historic trees & architecture are featured. Meet at Central Community Park on Victoria Ave.
Cost is $10 per participant. Even though these walks are not located at the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve, this is a fundraiser. All proceeds go towards conservation efforts at the GBHNR.
