Our Stories Matter Laps-for-Literacy is a fundraiser hosted by Black Children’s Books and Authors (BCBA), a 501(c)3 nonprofit in Memphis, TN. BCBA’s mission is to promote awareness of children’s and young adult literature by Black authors. Proceeds from the walk will benefit our Books-to-You (BTY) program. BTY seeks to provide free books by Black authors to children in the community.

Everyone is welcome—let’s spread the joy of reading to children and teens! 

Enjoy snacks, face-painting, and free children's books by Black authors (available while supplies last).
