Long before statehood, the future of the frontier—and the nation—was being shaped right here. From Daniel Boone to Aaron Burr, from the settlers at Blue Licks to the everyday men and women whose names rarely make the textbooks, Kentucky’s story is woven into America’s fight for independence.
Join us as the Kentucky Historical Society brings history off the page and into our community through Kentucky History on the Road. In this engaging lecture and Q&A, a museum educator will uncover the dramatic, surprising, and often overlooked stories that reveal how Kentucky helped shape a nation.
Kentucky Historical Society
Founded in 1836, the Kentucky Historical Society (KHS) educates and engages the public through Kentucky’s history. A Smithsonian Affiliate and fully accredited by the American Alliance of Museums, KHS brings expert museum educators across the Commonwealth through programs like Kentucky History on the Road, delivering dynamic presentations that make the past feel present.
