Our 904th membership meeting

On June 24th @ 7pm, Martin Wencek of the Narragansett Pier Sportfishing Association will discuss vintage surfcasting lures from the early 40's to the early 70's by most makers in New England. Rods, reels are available as well as old paperwork, pins and some vintage photographs. Vintage surfcasting items and all around old fishing lures is a topic that I have well covered for a show and tell. MSBA members and guests (open to the public) should know that I will appraise old lures and might be interested in buying some if anyone would want to sell their vintage tackle (lures). He encourages MSBA members to bring in old items, for show and tell if nothing else. It's always fun seeing what folks have in the recesses of their garage or basement that hasn't seen the light of day in years/decades. I am often amazed to see some of these old lures and enjoy them almost as much as hooking into a 40 inch striper! Seeing old lures really makes these seminars that much more fun for me!
