About this Event

Come join us for our upcoming OTL ART UP! event on Saturday, August 1st from 1:30PM - 3:30PM at the Ottawa Tool Library!
Our featured artist will be Ella Wright. Ella is an emerging artist preoccupied with assessing the lack of care our dominant culture shows for marginalized peoples and the more-than-human world. Through the lens of ecology, gardening, feminism, and textile history, Ella critically examines our relationships to landscape and the outside world. Ella graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture in 2019 and a Masters of Information Studies in 2022, both from the University of Ottawa. Ella’s previous exhibitions include the Textile Museum of Canada, Toronto; Modern Fuel Artist Run Centre, Kingston; Marianne van Silfhout Gallery, Brockville; and Unit 115 at the Kingston Arts Council.
