The Garden of the Crescent Moon will be celebrating Ostara on Saturday March 21st, starting at around 5:30pm. We will be painting eggs this year for part of the pre-ritual as well as incorporating some messages from deity about what seeds to plant to bring about what you desire in your life. It should be a lot of fun!! This is a family friendly event, new people are welcome! You will want to bring a food item to share, something Ostara themed is appropriate. Anything made with eggs, cured meats, spring greens or early veggies like asparagus, spinach, leeks, baby carrots, radishes, etc. OR stored veggies, roots or tubers, like potatoes, carrots, onions, beets, turnips, etc. OR pickled items from last years harvest. Hams, smoked meats and fish, bacon, salami, sausages, etc., are all appropriate meats. Deviled eggs, quiche, pies or desserts with whipped egg white toppings, pickled eggs, you get the idea. Think pairing a meat with egg dish or a meat with veggie dish.. Get Creative!! We will be feasting after the Ritual, with a Fire and drumming/singing/storytelling afterwards. Bring your lawn chair and dress appropriately for whatever the weather might be doing then!
