Join the OSIFT community on March 11th in Salem, OR at Chemeketa Eola to network, mingle, and get updated on what's happening at the Oregon Food Bank!
Featuring Sharon McFadden - Strategic Sourcing Manager for the Oregon Food Bank! She will be going over the work the Oregon Food Bank does and how/what you can do to get invovled!
Event Schedule:

- 6:30-7:30pm- Speaker Hour
Dinner: Dinner will be served with Vegetarian, Non-Vegetarian, and Gluten Free options. Catering provided by Simply Plated Catering.

Sharon McFadden is a certified food scientist who graduated from Oregon State University’s Food Science Department and has spent her entire career in food. Previously she worked for Western Family Food, Meduri Farms, and Quest International (Diana Foods) in the work of Quality Assurance/Food Safety, Sensory Evaluation, Product Development, and Consumer Affairs. Sharon has served on the Board of the Portland Culinary Alliance, Oregon Section of the Institute of Food Technologist (OSIFT), and has held the position of Vice President and President of the Quality Assurance Association. She is an active member of the Institute of Food Technologist and OSIFT.
Currently working as the Strategic Sourcing Manager for Oregon Food Bank (OFB) she works alongside a team of amazing food resources developers. Collectively they work to source food and other resources that can be distributed across the State of Oregon and Clark County Washington through Oregon Food Bank Network of 21 regional food banks and over 1400 Partner Agencies. She also works closely with local and state government agencies, local, state, regional, and national hunger relief organizations, disaster response organizations, and many nonprofits. The work of ending hunger involves all of us and the creative solutions can come from anywhere.
