The season opener proved something a lot of people already knew deep down…
Sport Compact Racing in Oregon is far from dead.
24 cars showed up again for Race #2.
Drivers from Milwaukee, Oregon all the way to Yreka, California travelled to support grassroots racing at Douglas County Dirt Track — and the atmosphere proved this class still matters.
Thanks to support from OSCRA, DCDT, and two outstanding individuals from the safety crew at DCDT who stepped up with $650 of their own money to help the racers, the Top 12 drivers all left with $100 or more in their pocket.
That’s what grassroots racing is supposed to look like.
Now we roll into Friday Night, July 3rd.
