OSCAM BOUT IT #6 x Noell3: An ARTist in Residence
About this Event
BOUT IT is OSCAM's ongoing programme exploring hip-hop as more than music: as culture, archive, artistic language and a space for identity, storytelling and community. Since 2018, BOUT IT has made room for women, queer artists and other voices that remain on the margins of hip-hop, through exhibitions, international writers' camps, exchange and a live programme.
For BOUT IT #6, OSCAM takes the next step: from short-term encounter and exchange towards long-term artistic development. At the centre of this edition is the multidisciplinary artist and performer Noell3, based in Amsterdam Zuidoost.
Together with OSCAM and KIP Republic, Noell3 begins an artist-in-residence trajectory in which music, performance, research and community become part of one evolving artistic process.
During ADE, audiences are invited into that process through an intimate listening session and artistic encounter. Noell3 shares new work and offers a first glimpse into the development of her artistic practice.
Rather than presenting only a finished work, BOUT IT #6 makes the process itself visible. The ADE session is an important first public moment within a longer trajectory leading towards Noell3: An ARTist in Residence at OSCAM in 2027.
