Spend Valentine’s Day immersed in one of opera’s greatest love stories as Lyster Opera brings Gluck’s Orphée et Eurydice to Platform Arts Geelong — our first ever performance in Geelong.This moving tale follows Orpheus, the legendary musician, who dares to journey into the underworld to retrieve his beloved Eurydice. Battling grief, the Furies of Hades and the silent trials of love and trust, Orpheus discovers that even the strongest devotion can be tested by fate.
This new production is sung in French with English surtitles, featuring some of Melbourne’s most exciting professional singers.
