Make OMAM one of your stops during October's First Saturday Ormond Art Walk to see work by Lesley Ehlers on display and for sale in our Reception Gallery. Admission is FREE, and you can ride the complimentary shuttle to visit all Art Walk stops!
"I find balance and understanding through the imagery and the visceral marks I create with encaustic wax. The medium itself is fluid, with a honeyed scent, and its textures are both revealing and surprising as I lift the paper off the hot wax. These marks are reminiscent of the traces the tide leaves on the sand. Inspired by the sea, the buzzing of bees, and the unfurling beauty of nature, my work invites exploration and connection with the world around us."
But wait, there's more! OMAM will also be the venue for the Music+Arts Expo from 5 to 9pm presented by The Locals Mix. On the museum’s rooftop, you can watch the third round of the original live music competition. The music is a ticketed event, but there's no cover to explore the museum, gardens, and vendor village downstairs. Drinks, including beer, wine, and specialty cocktails, will be available for purchase.
