Let’s Go Red, TogetherCardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of death for women, affecting nearly half of those over 20. Unique life stages like pregnancy and menopause increase the risk, yet only about half of women know CVD is their greatest health threat. Heart disease is complex and personal, often leaving women out of research and treatment.
Go Red for Women connects women to motivate, educate, and inspire each other, fostering better health communities. For over 20 years, this initiative by the American Heart Association has addressed women's evolving health needs, providing credible health solutions at every life stage. With support from funders, volunteers, and champions, Go Red for Women aims to improve heart and brain health for all women, ensuring they are seen, heard, and counted in health matters.
