About this Event
Bábàláwo Latona H. Alejaibra Ifaseun Badu of Alejaibra's House Works (Ile Aje Blu) and Bábàláwo Kayode Ogun Bi from the Yoruba Temple of Spiritual Enlightenment will be conducting enriching classes on Orisa songs and drumming traditions rooted in Trinidad and Tobago. Together, we’re building a stronger, more connected community under the banner of One Aim | One Destiny.
Arrive early to share healthy vibes and enjoy complimentary snacks before class. This offering is FREE for ALL, though donations are greatly appreciated to support the space, drummers, organizers, and the Orisa’s work.
Orisa songs serve many purposes: uplifting your mood, calling on Orisa, healing, honoring nature, and more. The Yoruba culture remains vibrant and alive in Trinidad and Tobago, passed down through generations. Explore the rich spiritual heritage of Ifa, the belief system of the Yoruba people of Nigeria, as we guide you through learning songs, drumming, Oriki (praise poetry), Pataki (sacred stories), and much more.
Alejaibra’s House Works is a global community dedicated to sharing the transformative wisdom of African spirituality, culture, and healing practices. We provide opportunities for individuals to connect with the sacred through workshops, storytelling, music, and community events. Our work is not rooted in Orisa worship but celebrates the stories, songs, and traditions that honor the Orisa and their connection to our collective well-being. Focused on liberation and empowerment, we strive to create inclusive spaces that foster healing, unity, and the preservation of ancestral wisdom.
