ORIGINAL Session: An Open Mic for New Music

We’re launching a new Friday night session at The Engine Room: an open mic dedicated to original songs, new writing and works in progress.
Hosted by Liam — Southport’s own local troubadour, of Liam & Claire fame — ORIGINAL Session is a room for songwriters, bands, solo performers, poets, instrumentalists and musical oddballs who want to try out their own material in front of a friendly audience. Whether you’ve got one new song, a half-finished set, a spoken-word piece, or a full acoustic performance ready to go, this is a place to give it an airing.
This is not a covers night. The emphasis is on new music, original writing and first outings — a regular Friday room for hearing what local musicians are making now, and for giving Southport a proper home for fresh material.
Performers
If you’d like to play, reserve a performer ticket and come down a little early if possible.
Audience
Listeners are warmly welcome too. Come and hear new music, support local artists, and help us build a proper room for original work in Southport.
