Learn essential origami terminology, foundational folding techniques, and how to read diagrams with confidence. Explore a wide range of origami techniques and models—from elegant modular forms and expressive wet-folded sculptures to playful action models. No prior experience is needed. Materials provided. Workshops are on Thursday afternoons: June 25th and July 16th from 1:30 - 3pm.

Instructor Kathy Alsegaf is an origami practitioner, teacher, and lifelong enthusiast. She discovered origami in kindergarten in the Netherlands and has been folding ever since. Over the years, she has participated in more than 20 origami conventions and shared her love of the art through teaching at the Cherry Blossom Festival, the Kennedy Center, the National Building Museum, and other venues. Her work has also been exhibited at the National Building Museum. For Kathy, transforming a flat sheet of paper into something beautiful and surprising is a source of continual joy.
