A tabletop still life session using gouache. A varied selection of objects is arranged across the tables before participants arrive, and participants choose their own subject or grouping. No prescribed composition; the goal is looking closely at light, shadow, and color relationships. Instructor sets up and steps back.
The Art Cart offers free classes in a wide range of artistic techniques and topics, for a range of ages and interest groups. Visit us on the Upper Terrace, BEHIND the New York Public Library. Registration typically opens 1-2 weeks in advance.
