This pilot program features four interactive, 90-minute recorded sessions held at the Senior Center. Each participant will receive a working binder to guide them step-by-step through the organizational process. With expert insights from the South Dakota State University Extension, you’ll learn about the roles and responsibilities of a Power of Attorney (POA), the importance of legal documents, and how to engage in meaningful conversations about future planning.
Program Objectives:
* Compare and contract legal/situations/outcomes related to family caregiving and probate.
* Define and differentiate the duties and responsibilities of different types of fiduciaries.
* Identify documents and information a fiduciary might need to execute their duties.
* Explain and compare organization strategies for important documents and information.
* Compare strategies to keep personal information and documents secure.
* Discuss professional support.

Each workshop will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. The scheduled dates are January 20, April 21, July 21, and October 20.
This program is FREE for Senior Center Members. Members who sign up are encouraged to commit to attending all sessions to get the most benefit from the series. Sign up at the Message Board. Non-Members are welcome to join for a fee of $25, which covers all four sessions. Register in the office.
