Drawing from Afrobeat, Andean music, and hard bop, the quartet creates a sound rooted in groove, improvisation, and deep rhythmic conversation. Their music reflects both the cultural diversity of New York City and a shared commitment to exploring jazz as a living, evolving language—one that honors tradition while embracing new influences and collective expression.

Edu Mora Costa: Born in Quito, the capital city of Ecuador, Edu Mora is a musician and producer based in New York City. Covering different genres from Latin and Caribbean music to Jazz, Rock and Folk, Edu has collaborated with several projects in Latin America and New York. In 2014, Edu was awarded a full Scholarship to study his M. M. degree in New York University, where he had the opportunity to study with such jazz luminaries as John Scofield, Gilad Hekselman, Lage Lund, Jean-Michel Pilc, Gil Goldstein, Stefon Harris, among others. Edu has beed involved producing, performing, composing and teaching in the New York music scene since 2016.

Jeffrey Almonte: Jeffrey is a drummer whose style blends the rhythms of his Dominican Republic roots with the diverse sounds of Queens, New York. With influences from Latin music to hip-hop and rock, he brings a unique, energetic groove to every performance.

Santiago Rozo: Santiago, a 28-year-old Bolivian musician, has shaped a diverse musical identity through global upbringing and cultural connection. Trained in classical piano as a child and contemporary music in college, he blends his Bolivian roots with his love for the African American musical lineage. Now in New York, he explores new sounds ranging from the Cuban traditions and Mexican Jarocho to Jazz and African rhythms, within the city’s multicultural scene.

Ryan Venora: Brooklyn based and born in Hartford Connecticut, Ryan began playing the trumpet at 7 years old. First mentored by his brothers, he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree from NYU while emerging as an artist in the NYC jazz scene. Ryan is heavily influenced by contemporary improvised music that embraces its roots in tradition, and sets out to create music that immerses listeners in new, yet familiar soundscapes. Ryan has had the privilege to perform with and be mentored by renowned greats such as Chris Potter, Terrell Stafford, Bob Hurst, Ted Nash, Alexa Tarantino, Tatum Greenblatt, Brandon Lee, and Mike Rodriguez, among others.
