Mr. Kavin Sampson has been involved with music (primarily for churches) in the area for 50 years. By his senior year in high school, he was organist for one of the larger churches in town. In 1971 his music studies took him to Northwestern University, Evanston to pursue two degrees ( B.M. And M.M.) in organ performance. In 1976 he moved to Kankakee to become music director at St. Rose of Lima Church, where he stayed until 2005. At that time he became the music director at Asbury United Methodist Church, Kankakee. At Asbury he directs the Chancel Choir, Asbury Ringers, Instruments of Praise (wind and string ensemble) and a recorder quartet.
He will also be joined by Dr. Stephanie Lupo on Flute and Piccolo for a few pieces.
