About this Event
Andrew Wells is descended from the Wells brewing dynasty of Wallingford and has had a distinguished music career. After graduating with distinction from the London College of Music, he studied piano accompaniment with Christine Croshaw and harpsichord with Valda Aveling at Trinity College London.
As an accompanist, he has played for several choral societies in West London, has worked with the BBC Singers and Symphony Chorus, and played throughout the country and abroad as both organist and harpsichordist. He is currently Director of Music at St George’s, Campden Hill. As a composer, he has written in many diverse styles, and his anthems have been published by Novello.
The recital will include pieces by Handel, Bach, William Hine, and a composition of Andrew’s own. Come and experience this rarely-heard organ in all its glory!
The music will be followed by afternoon tea. Proceeds towards church funds.
