A recital by Andrew Baars.
Andrew is a life-long musician, singing in choirs and performing from an early age. At 16 he was organist and choirmaster of his parish church in Torquay. In 1997 he graduated from Exeter
University with a Music degree.
With organ as his first instrument Andrew has given solo recitals in Exeter and Westminster Cathedrals. He has enjoyed concert appearances in countries far and wide, playing on a tiny chapel organ on the northernmost point of the Irish coast, as well as a ferociously bright organ in a Tokyo concert hall.
Nearer to home he has enjoyed performing on the organ at the Royal Albert Hall.
From 2008 to 2018 Andrew was Director of Music at Sydenham High School. He is currently Director Of Music at St Anne's Lutheran Church at St Mary-at-Hill in the City of London.
