Join us at Boston Avenue UMC for a luxurious (and free) evening of music featuring organist Evan Anderson (E.M. Anderson). The program will include pieces by Wagner, Tchaikovsky, Grieg, Bach, and more!
Evan will play a transcription of the complete Peer Gynt Suite, which includes such well-known pieces as "In the Hall of the Mountain King" and "Morning Mood." He will also play a rarely-performed transcription of the Andante Cantabile from Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5 that is a tour de force for both the player and the organ. Additionally, a transcription of one of the most well-known and loved modern movie scores, Interstellar, will be performed.
Whether you’re a longtime organ enthusiast, a classical music lover, or simply curious to hear what this extraordinary instrument can do, we invite you to join us!
Admission is free, and all are welcome!
