Join us for an Open Play Meetup at Olentangy River Brewing Company from 5:30 to 8:30pm every second Monday of the month!
Come and enjoy an evening of open play! Whether you are a seasoned player or just learning the tiles, this is a casual open play night designed for fun and friendly competition!
We are so excited to able to host our meetup at Olentangy River Brewing Company! Let’s show ORBC our appreciation with a purchase of a beer, coffee or other beverage! We wouldn’t be able to host public events like this without the support of businesses like ORBC!
Open Play is best suited for players already familiar with Mahjong rules. Due to the fast pace of games, it is difficult to teach rules or basics during Open Play Meetups.
We do welcome all levels of playing experience. Players BRAND NEW to Mahjong should attend one of our quarterly Mahjong 101 Learning Sessions before joining us at an Open Play Meetup. This allows us to support beginners in a dedicated learning setting. Mahjong 101 nights can be found under the Events tab.
Bring your NMJL card! The availability of cards to borrow will be extremely limited. We will use the 2025 card until approximately April, 2026. Get your new cards ordered now!
Please RSVP so we have an idea of how many people to expect! We do have use of the entire Brewhouse (backroom area), so space is not an issue! Bring your mahjong set and mat if you have one! If we have more players than we have game spots, we will rotate players so everyone will have a chance to play!
