To honour the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, the Manitoba Museum will be hosting its annual Orange Shirt Days with complimentary admission to the Museum Galleries, Planetarium, and Science Gallery from Sunday, September 28 to Tuesday, September 30.
Orange Shirt Days @ the Manitoba Museum feature special, all-day programming focused on the history of Indian Residential Schools and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Calls to Action. In Alloway Hall, we’re welcoming back the Project of Heart, a collaborative, hands-on activity using art to bring learning and healing to those who take part, and the Beautiful Cloud Dance Company who will be doing daily powwow performances. Join special guests at the Beading is Medicine drop-in beading circle, and visit the Pop-Up Art Exhibit to view the powerful artwork from survivors of the Mackay Residential School.
